City Chic Girl’s Night In

January 23, 2012 by Party Patisserie Filed Under: Celebrate 16 Comments

We are thrilled to share with you this chic and fun idea for a girl’s night in party created by us at Party Patisserie.

We all need a “grown-ups” night once in awhile so, on this night, we decided to “glam it up” and have a City Chic Girls Night In.

The inspiration for the party was this great “glam-girl” statue that I already had and my pink and black damask boxes which I love.

My goal was to have a night of laughs, sweets, chick flicks and relaxing.

Let the party begin with this beautiful invitation from Easy Made Invitations.

I love to design tables using unexpected items. My pink,  round damask hatbox serves as a perfect piece to hold the popcorn, while the smaller version holds wrapped chocolate candies.  To give them both a lift, I attached black wooden craft balls (that I painted), to the bottom as feet. They provide a nice contrast against the pink tablecloth.

It looks great up against our the chic pillows that we used later in the evening.

The  tablecloth is actually a drapery panel that fit over the table perfectly.  Great find!

White plates glued to white wooden candlestick holders are perfect for serving up yummy chocolate fortune cookies complete with a hidden fortune baked inside.  What kind of girl’s night would this be without chocolate?

Our pink frosted pretzels and cupcakes are sprinkled with pearl candies to match the pearls our “glam-girl” is holding.

The cute black & white damask box was a perfect way to raise the black cake stand and give it prominence on the table.

These darling little black & white damask  bags from The Posh Event Design Group are filled  with chocolates.

I also designed the black & white serving tray to serve up our cocktails and goodies. (the DIY for the tray is here).

The posh, upholstered headboard, that we created,  serves as a perfect backdrop for our theme. (This DIY is coming soon!)

To add a punch of color we used extra large pink poms against the backdrop.

Each of my girlfriends grabbed a pillow to cozy up with during the movies.

At the end of the evening each of my guests went home with a “chic pillow” and a little damask print gift bag filled with chocolates and a fortune cookie.

Sure hope you enjoyed our City Chic Girls Night In party!
