{DIY} Tissue Paper Flower Runner

When I was busy pinning the other night I found this great DIY  from Lisa Storms  for Fiskars that I wanted to share with you.

It’s a Tissue Paper Flower and Paper Runner.

Isn’t it pretty?

I love to make Tissue Paper Flowers and  there are so many color options you have with tissue paper.

This idea can be used in so many ways and for many different occasions.

One idea would be for Mother’s Day or a Tea Party.

Picking up vintage tea cups at flea markets is always so much fun and so affordable.

Wouldn’t they look great on the table?

You will need to buy a few paper punches for this project but I think you’ll use them again.

I have used mine several times.

Hope you enjoy this project and have some fun with it. I know I will.

{Sweet Inspiration} Peep Show

Let’s see a show of hands for those lovers of the Peeps.

I have to admit this right from the start that I really wasn’t ever much of a Peep fan.

I would  see them at Easter time,  but being the chocolate lover that I am,  my eye was always on those big chocolate bunnies instead.

More and more it seemed I was seeing them everywhere and the colors were always catching my eye.  They do come in some very pretty colors, don’t they?

Not only did I see them in bunnies,  but  I was seeing them in chicks.

The robin’s egg blue one really got me.  That was it.  I broke down and bought several packages.

When I saw them used as centerpieces I was definitely hooked and wondered why I hadn’t thought of that.

I guess because I never gave those little marshmallowie guys a second look.

Until now, that is.

Recently I was amazed again when I saw this fantastic creation.

Yes, all Peeps.  Do you believe the creativity?

Wanting to share this fantastic piece of art with you led me to the Peeps facebook page

and I’m so glad it did.

All these amazing creations are from PEEP fans who were in

the Carroll County Arts Council 5th PEEP Show.

Amazing right?

Who knew you could have so much fun with these little marshmallow fellows?

Lesson learned!

Hope you enjoyed our little Peep Show and that these little guys will inspire you.

How’s this  cute idea for the Easter table?

Easter is all about beautiful color, right?

Peeps and Gerber Daisies are all you need for this “stunning” pink centerpiece.

Just line the glass vase with the peeps and place a smaller glass cup inside the peep circle for the flowers.  Fill with gerber daisies or any flowers you choose.

Insert a long candy stick inside the peeps and place  in the flower arrangement. You’ll need about 8 of them.

Peeps come in various colors and I’m going to make 3 different centerpieces for each of my Easter tables.

This particular option is slightly different but equally stunning.  Start with a layer of orange jelly beans, place the yellow peeps on top of them finishing with gorgeous

Orange tulips  on top.

Found this on Katie Brown.

And finally, this last idea is my favorite.

This one is not only a ” table cutie” but it’s healthy too.

Get new clay pots and insert in them a separate cup that is filled with hummus or vegetable dip.

Wash baby carrots and make a little hole in the top of each one with a toothpick.

Insert a piece of  fresh  curly parsley in the hole on top of the carrots.

Plant the carrots in the dip.

Make several and let you guests take one home complete with a  bag of carrot seeds under the cup so your guests can grow their own carrots.

Hope you’ll try one of these easy and fun ideas this Easter.
