Welcome Home Baby party

{Party Theme} Welcome Home Baby

A new baby girl!  How exciting!

Today I’m sharing the Welcome Home Baby party that I did for my niece who just had her first baby!

Tiny Prints asked if I’d like to partner up on this project, and I was thrilled! As soon as I saw this announcement from Tiny Prints, I knew I had found the inspiration for the party!

When a new baby arrives, family and friends are anxious to meet your little sweetie. You’re excited to show off your new addition, but you’re also trying to adjust and get some much-needed sleep. It’s exhausting to host several individual visits, so why not just invite everyone over all at once?

We invited everyone over at a time that was convenient for mom and baby. Mom was well-rested (well, as much as she could be), and we threw together a few simple treats.

I was instantly in love when I saw the gold metallic dots on the announcement. They are so chic right now. Plus, the combination of pink and gold are a match made in heaven. Don’t you agree?

Using the gold dots as the inspiration, I made a burlap banner to greet baby and visitors. This made the backdrop for our sweets table.

The tulle pom balloons were such a sweet addition to the backdrop. (You can see my DIY for the balloons over on the Tiny Prints blog.) They are so sweet and feminine!

We kept the desserts fairly simple: The cake served several people and was the focal point of the table.

I made the baby shoes from fondant. They made a perfect cake topper.

Gold and pink ribbons were the finishing touches.

In keeping with the dot theme, I added shimmer pink gumballs around the rim of the cake plate to accentuate the cake.  I love shimmer gumballs!

I topped the cupcakes with gold candy, and set them in gold cupcake liners.

After purchasing a dozen of these adorable little jars, I filled them with layered pudding.  Wooden spoons embellished with tiny tulle poms were tied around the rim.

Chocolate and white milk  served in vintage milk bottles were a fun addition.

I dressed the table in pink tulle of course. DIY coming soon.
