Vera Bradley Baby Launch

Today’s post is for all our little party people,  babies that is!  I was so excited to be invited by Kim from The TomKat Studio and Kelly from The Party Dress to the launch party of  the Vera Bradley Baby line.

Kim partnered with Vera Bradley to promote Vera Bradley Baby’s new line and asked a few party people to host events simultaneously with the New York store on Thursday evening.

This event was at the Deer Park, Illinois store and the hostess for the evening was Kelly Lyden, (on the left). Kelly styles amazing parties and  was so gracious to invite me, (on right),  to join in the fun.  Kelly is just adorable and it was so nice to meet her in person

After being greeted by Kelly when we arrived  we received a sweet little gift bag from Vera Bradley with the cutest little stockings from the line. What a way to begin the evening!

There was a lot of excitement in the store as everyone browsed.

Want to take a look-sie at the beautiful displays that were set- up through out the store?

These soft little bunnies were sweet in the darling Daisy Tote.  Love the size and the beautiful colors, don’t you?

Not sure what I like better, the bunnies or the tote.  Decisions, decisions!

I’m thinking great Easter basket alternative:)

The onesies were just too sweet!  You can’t see it here, but the backside, to put it politely, is all ruffles. Yes, we love the ruffles!

And the little shoes ,with the tiny white bows, are probably one of my favorite items! (sitting on the pink box)

The teddy bears were just as cuddly as the bunnies.  Oh no, which to choose!

Bunnies, bunnies everywhere!

I  immediately fell in love with these sweet bath towels. Did I mention they were incredibly soft too?

Blankets, towels, bibs, oh my!

After shopping for a while, all the guests were gathered to play some bingo and win a gorgeous tote.

No, I wasn’t the lucky winner, but I didn’t walk out empty handed either.

I was having too much fun shopping and the timing was perfect since I’m going to a baby shower this weekend.

my gifts

I did pretty good with the onesie, shoes, towel, socks and bunny & bear book.

By the way, each item is packaged in colorful boxes that look like little pieces of furniture.

my purchase

Doesn’t my purchase look adorable all wrapped up in the colorful bunny gift bag?

I think so too! Can’t wait to give it to the mama- to- be!

This was such a fun evening and us party girls (Sue on right) were so happy we could be a part of it!

{Sweet Inspiration} Candy Corn Baby

I thought we’d end Candy Corn week with a sweet treat of a different sort.

I found these photos on pretty kitty knitty city and they really made me smile. I hope it does the same for you!

Oops, don’t eat the outfit!

Didn’t I tell you it would make you smile?

{Sew Cute} Tulle Embellished Linen Pillows

Tulle isn’t just for tutus any more. : )

When I was working on the Lemonade Photo Shoot last week, I got inspired to design these  super fun pillows. Since I’m a lover of tulle  and had several bolts of these yummy flavors just screaming to be used, I  decided to embellish the pillows with them.

I can’t decide which color is my favorite. Are you like that also? I’ve already decided where a few of them are headed. How about a nursery or a  little girl’s room …wait, why should they have all the fun? I want some in my room too!

The pillows are a beautiful  linen, size 16 x 16 inches wrapped in these gorgeous colors of shimmery tulle.  The poms give them just the right amount of pizzazz.! They will be available on my ETSY shop soon. Until then, if you are interested in purchasing, leave me an email at PartyPatisserie@gmail.com.

Baby Banner

Since I’m on this Shabby Chic kick and a friend recently had a baby, I decided to make a banner for her since they are so popular now. I had quite a bit of burlap fabric laying around. On any given day you will find tons of fabrics in my workroom (another passion). I love how the rugged texture of the burlap contrasts with the softness of the beautiful blue satin ribbons that adorn each side of the banner. So, off I go cutting out triangles and lots of them. Before I knew it I had about forty cut. I was on a roll. I thought I’d show you the baby banner now and wait to show you what I’ve done with the rest of the triangles later. Since I love polka dots, I thought they’d be a perfect addition here.
