{Party Themes} Gingerbread Decorating Party

Today you’re in for a real treat.

Gingerbread has always been a favorite cookie of mine for Christmas, and decorating Gingerbread houses is such a great idea to do with the family and friends.

So, when I saw this Gingerbread Decorating Party by Amy’s Party Ideas I fell in love and I think you will too.

So grab a cookie and glass of milk and enjoy all the wonderful details.

Love the invites!

The Snowball Cookies” are  Key Lime cookies covered in powder sugar that were purchased from Walmart.  Amy dipped the tops in melted white chocolate candy melts and topped with shredded coconut.

Aren’t these little guys adorable?  The red edible glitter was the perfect touch!

Great job Amy!

Cupcakes topped with gingerbread men were so easy to make.  She purchased mini Gingerbread men cookies from Trader Joes and then used packaged cookie icing in chocolate to cover them.  Adding mini red M&M’s  covered in red edible glitter were the finishing touch!

Who wouldn’t want to drink their milk with sprinkle-covered rims and flavored straws?

How perfect are these fondant cupcake toppers from LIV Creativity!

For the Santa Hat Strawberries, Amy used melted white chocolate and piped it through a grass tip to make it look like fluffy cotton.

Love how she glittered an inexpensive frame to fest it up!

Everyone got their own Gingerbread Decorating Kit filled with peppermints, candy canes, and gingerbread men.

Guests  also chose from dishes of  Red Hots, Green Sixlets, Gum Drops, M&M’s, and shredded coconut to complete their masterpieces.

What a wonderful and festive party!

Thank you so much Amy for sharing your delightful party with us!.

Hope your holiday is Sweet!

{Party Themes} Marilyn Monroe Inspired Senior Prom Table

When a good friend asked me to do a sweet’s table for her daughter who was going to Senior Prom, I was thrilled!

This had to be special because it would be her last high school dance & lots of family and friends were invited to enjoy the goodies and send the cute couple off to their final dance.

The feel she was looking for was Marilyn Monroe, glitz, glam, pink, diamonds, well, I think you get the picture.

Her dress was a pretty blush pink which inspired the color theme.

I started with an upholstered backdrop, which I made, and covered the buttons with a glittery silver paper to add a little sparkle.

Next, I made the flower poms out of pretty pink & white polka dot napkins and added

curled silver satin ribbon to finish the look.

Here’s how to make the poms yourself.

I hung a custom made sign, with their names, in the center to finish off the backdrop.

I made wooden stairs to display the pretty prom dress cookies and sprinkled them with a few more diamonds.

For the gents, chocolate mustaches on a stick, were decked out in a diamond stud bow tie!

The mustaches were a perfect photo op for later too!

The cupcakes were topped with a large fondant pink bow which is reminiscent of Marilyn’s dress, in the video,

Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend.

More cupcakes were topped with a pretty pink fondant flower and small edible pearl center.

Pink satin bows adorned with diamond stunned bows dressed up our vintage stand.

Now, since our guest of honor are  seniors in high school and looking to their futures,

Fortune Cookies were the perfect addition to provide a fun little insight of what’s to come for them.

Pink chocolate and sugar glammed up this yummy treat!

Pink Cotton Candy, decked out in diamond adorned boxes, kept it fun for the teens.

Pearlized Pink & Silver Gumballs were glammed up by adding diamond studded brooches to pink satin ribbons

and served in giant wine glasses.

Yummy cake pops were the perfect place to show-off the names of the cute couple.

Hope you have many “Sweet Memories” of your special dance, Morgan & Chris!
