{Party Themes} Vintage Valentine Party

Today I’m thrilled to feature this gorgeous Shabby Chic Valentine Party by Cris from Crissy’s Crafts.

Cris loves vintage style  (a women after my own heart),  and when she was contacted by  Bird from Bird’s Party to style a party around her new printable collection, she was thrilled. The Love Bird collection is utterly adorable and oh so sweet.

The party was held outdoors and she used props from around the house.  The thrift shop was great for finding the perfect small treasures for the sweets table.

I liked that Cris used a trellis to hang mason jars filled with silk pink hydrangeas as a backdrop for the cupcake table.

She also used her daughters desk to display all the yummy treats.  They include chocolate bonbon (from Brazil), dark fudge kettle corn, oreo cakesters, strawberry chocolate filled marshmallows, love birds chocolate cupcakes and chocolate dipped puffs. Most of the goodies were store bought and she made them look a little more festive.  The vintage ribbon garland was made by A to Zebra Celebrations.

Healthy snacks were also on the menu like whole wheat love bird sandwiches and vegetables shots.  The children followed her rule that they need to eat healthy foods before they attacked the sweets!

A large table was set for the girls to sit at and enjoy the treats complete with a flower centerpiece that Chris made out of soda cans. ( very clever)  I like the vintage napping rings that she made too. Beautiful cloth napkins that were purchased at the thrift shop for 30 cents a piece were a great bargain and the girls loved using them.

For a take home gift, the children made bracelets and put in cute metal tins embellished with more printables.

Our sweet little party girl looks adorable in her adorable headband by Vintage Rose Wraps.

Diy pillow favor boxes and pink organza bags were filled with kisses, M& M’s and Hershey’s Miniatures.

Cris also used the printable scrapbook paper, cupcake toppers, printable cut-outs and editable buffet cards form the collection to embellish the dessert table items like the white frames, the cupcakes, the wooden birds and the doily banner.

What a gorgeous party!  Thank you Crissy’s Crafts for all your wonderful inspiration.

{Party Themes} Pink Vintage Cinderella Party -part 2

I am really happy that so many of you liked the Pink Cinderella Party we featured a couple of days ago.  With all the interest I thought you might want to see some more of it.  This party has so many wonderful ideas to it.

For those of you who are seeing it for the first time take a close look-sey!  Dear Lillie really did capture the vintage feel.

For the dinner table she made a paper cake centerpiece.  It’s made from folding scrapbooking paper and plain ol’ copy paper. Yep, you heard me right.  So very clever and pretty!

Here’s the paper cake  on the table…

.

Here’s another shot of it. Don’t you just love it on the cake stand?

Above the beautiful serving table she crafted her daughters initial for a wall hanging.  Although she didn’t give the detailed how-to,  she did say it took several cupcake liners and a little bit of time.  (you can imagine) but so worth it.

It’s so frilly and feminine.

The gift packages were even given such wonderful attention as well. Wouldn’t you love to receive these gifts?

Me too!

Thanks again to Dear Lillie for this wonderful party!

If you are seeing this for the first time be sure to check out our other post on this party here.

{Party Themes} Pink Vintage Cinderella Party

I’m so excited to feature this absolutely gorgeous party by Jennifer from Dear Lillie.  Jennifer is amazingly talented and created all the aspects of the party for her daughter Lillie.

Let the decorating begin…

Silhouettes of Cinderella were cut out and strung together to make this  sweet banner.

Love how she added Cinderella to the plates as well. Don’t you?

Not to be missed, Cinderella and The Prince are on the vase.

Look carefully, the “little mouse” cut-out is watching the time for Cinderella.

The beautiful white pumpkin is adorned with a white lace pom and pink paper stem.

Let’s get a closer look at the table…

Cinderella appears again on the mirror  this time in pink while her ” glass slipper” cut-outs adorn the lighted branches in the urn. (Did you catch the little mouse leaning against the urn?)

Love the “magic wand” stirs in the milk!  Cinderella appears on the glasses as well.

I love how the sterling silver champagne bucket gets put to use serving the popcorn.  Jenni also made the paper cake centerpiece out of scrapbook paper.

The Carriage and Dress hang tags were purchased from The Porcelain Rose on Etsy.  Such a great touch.

Now it’s time to get dressed for the ball…

Jennifer’s mom made the beautiful pink long skirt and added the elbow length white gloves.  Lillie made her pink crown.

This is one lucky “pretty little pink Cinderella”

I would like to express my thanks to Jennifer from Dear Lillie for letting us share her beautiful party with us.

Be sure to check out Dear Lillie blog for a real treat.
