Cute Valentine Envelopes

January 20, 2012 by Party Patisserie Filed Under: DIY 5 Comments

With Valentine’s Day coming up it gave me an excuse to go to one my favorite scrapbooking stores,  Archivers.   It’s always so much fun to check out all the cute paper and fun accessories.  I don’t even scrapbook but I sure buy a ton of paper. And the accessories are so darn cute too.

So,  what to do with the paper…

How about making some fun envelopes!

Why, you ask?

Think about it.  What would you rather receive in the mail?   A plain white, regular shaped envelope or a fun-shaped colorful one?

Thought so.

Let’s get started!

Download the templates here, here and here, or use an envelope you already have.  Just open it up carefully. (If it doesn’t want to open without tearing, sprinkle it with a little water and undo slowly.

Begin by cutting out the template.

Take your template and place on the cardstock you choose. (I’m using a blue envelope here as my template.)

After it’s cut out, fold on the crease lines. (I’m using the pink envelope here.)

The papers that I chose have a print on both sides. (It just looks pretty when you open the envelope.)

Apply double sided tape on the tabs and press in place.

Valentine_Envelopes_7 I love the design on the inside  as well, don’t you?

 Option envelope two:

For a third option you can use a photograph. Make a copy on cardstock and place template so that the photo is where you want it.

Cut out and crease like above. Valentine_Envelopes_12

Apply double-sided tape and press down.

Finally, I attached these cute addresses labels.

You could also try using calendar pages too.  The stores are getting rid of them now so you can pick them up for pennies.

Have fun with it!

Won’t “our valentine” be surprised to receive these?

I think so!
