National Lemonade Day

August 20, 2013 by Party Patisserie Filed Under: Cook Leave a Comment

Happy National Lemonade Day everyone!

Is there anyone who doesn’t love lemonade and have fond memories of those little lemonade stands we were so excited to have when we were kids.? Standing so patiently to get those few customers ( usually just the neighbor kids and their parents) to make what seemed to be a fortune.

Upon closing up shop, we would  immediately head to the neighborhood store and get our fill of the penny candy with our very proudly earned money.

Now we have them with our kids and make fond memories with them.

So to celebrate National Lemonade Day, make your own homemade lemonade to share with friends and family.

Dissolve 2 cups of sugar in 1 cup of hot water. Then stir in 2 cups of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1 gallon of cold water. Pour into glasses filled with ice and garnish with a lemon slice and a sprig of mint.

Enjoy!
