Witches Spell Book for Poison Apples (Purple Candy Apples) Part 2

October 14, 2013 by Party Patisserie Filed Under: Create 1 Comment

Hi everyone,

Last week when I did the post on Poison Apples (see here),   I promised a pdf for you to create the Witches Spell Book.

Begin by finding a book that’s about the size of your paper. This one was perfect because it was really old and had the perfect color I was going for.

To age the pages you can always use a little coffee or tea to rub on the pages to darker or even an ink pad. But use a very lite touch. It doesn’t take much to get the aged look.

After you print out the pages, you’ll want to tweek them the size of the book.  I used glue dots under the pages to lift them a bit and tuck them into the binding of the book.

I also rolled up the edges of pages to give it that much used look. And finally you can add a ribbon or cord to mark the pages with. My book all ready had the cord and I added a piece of ribbon for color.  I tried it both ways and couldn’t decide which I liked better.

When I finished,  I loved the way it turned out and made a little vignette on my kitchen counter. I think it would be a perfect touch to a Halloween party too!
