Valentine’s Day Party for Cold Stone Creamery

February 10, 2014 by Party Patisserie Filed Under: Celebrate 9 Comments

Valentine’s Day. It’s a day of love, flowers, chocolate—and yes, often a lot of stress.

Don’t forget to make a dinner reservation! Buy a new outfit! Pick up a card!

It’s enough to make a girl go crazy!

This year, we threw up our hands and decided we’d had enough. No stressful Valentine’s Day for us this year!

If you feel the same, we hope you can draw a little inspiration from the low-key, early Valentine’s Day party we had this weekend.

We wanted to celebrate the holiday with all the good stuff—chocolate, champagne, ice cream and the people we love—but none of the headaches and needless pressure to make everything perfect. We partnered with Cold Stone Creamery to bring you a fun variation on this romantic day.

We filled our fun letter dishes (YOU & ME)  with colorful candy. They make quite a statement on the table!  Aren’t they cute? You can get them here.

I had a linen table cloth and sprinkled it with loads of candy and felt hearts.

Our red and white plates from Christmas were perfect for the place setting.

I embellished the napkins with chocolate candy lips on a stick.

So easy, yummy and fun for photo-ops.

Putting some fun pillows on the chairs are a sure way to help set the mood!

Lip stickers adorn our champagne flutes. Cheers!

Make sure to have a camera ready for pictures to create great memories. Board games are always fun. We created a game for couples to see how well they know each other. Oh, what you can learn!

The star of the night was this wonderful ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery, “They Call It Truffle Love.”   And the great part is you can order it online at ColdStoneCakes.com. I picked it up at our local Cold Stone Creamery store. (No baking tonight. YAY!)

Of course, I couldn’t leave it alone. I added a little bunting made with scrapbook paper, stickers and twine.

The cake has moist layers of Red Velvet Cake and Fudge Truffle Ice Cream with Chocolate Shavings wrapped in a rich Fudge Ganache.  It’s very rich and absolutely delicious! Heaven!!! Are you hungry yet?

The evening was so relaxing and lots of fun!

Hope you have  a wonderful Valentine’s Day with your loved ones!!!
