Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you had a great weekend!
Remember how we told you we were going to start sharing some healthy recipes? Well, we’re sticking to it. In case you missed it, you can see last week’s Sunrise Smoothie here.
I was busy trying some recipes over the weekend, and today I have a great one for you. I’m calling it a Berry Beautiful Smoothie.
This is a great one to start your day with because the ingredients are few, it whips up quickly and it’s very healthy. Oh, and did I mention it’s really good?
It has the antioxidant power of frozen berries with a blast of vitamin C from a whole orange, a punch of potassium from a frozen banana, and staying power from protein-packed Greek yogurt.
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen mixed berries (I used a combo of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries.)
1 frozen banana (Helpful hint: Mush the banana up with your fingers after you place it in the baggie.)
1 orange, peeled and cut into sections
1-5 oz. vanilla Greek yogurt (I used vanilla Oikos.)
Place all ingredients in the blender and mix well.
It has a wonderfully thick consistency. It’s almost like a frosty, but you can still drink it through a straw.
If you’re counting, it has 350 calories with 1 gram of fat, 14 grams of fiber, and 15 grams of protein. Now that’s a healthy smoothie!
I’m so loving this smoothie, and I hope you do too! Pin away if you like, and be sure to sign up for Party Patisserie emails so you don’t miss any of our recipes!
