Hello everyone! This is one of my favorite posts to date, and I’m really excited to share it with you! Bubblegum has always been a favorite of mine since I was a little girl. All those beautiful colors in a perfectly round, shiny little treat.
And did I say yummy, too?
Over the weekend I stumbled onto a great find that made bubblegum even better. Did you know there’s such a thing as bubblegum vodka? Yes, that’s right! Now, don’t burst my bubble (no pun intended) and tell me you already knew that, because I’m still soaking in the thrill of my discovery.
So, on a particularly hot summer afternoon—it felt like Chicago’s hottest of the summer so far—I mixed, concocted, sipped and splashed my way to a sweet and refreshing summer drink: The Bubblegum Martini.
Ta da!
This recipe only has three ingredients, which means you can quickly whip it up for parties. And it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser. Just look at how cute it is!
You don’t have to reserve this drink specifically for summer events. It will taste great any time of year. Adding candy—bubblegum, in this case—to any treat or occasion can be a fun, unexpected and a youthful twist your guests are sure to remember. They will just love this sweet drink!
Ingredients (makes one drink):
- 1 oz. Three Olives Bubble Vodka (the brand I used)
- 1 oz. yellow lemonade
- 3 oz. pink lemonade
- 1 orange, sliced (for garnish)
Directions:
Pour one ounce of vodka into a glass. Add the yellow lemonade, and then the pink lemonade. Give it a gentle stir, and add an orange slice and crushed ice. Top it off with a bubblegum stirrer.
That’s it! (I used both pink and yellow lemonade to get the pretty color.)
So refreshing and delicious! CHEERS to you!
To make the bubblegum stirrers: You’ll need white candy sticks, gumballs and an awl. (Make sure the awl is clean.) Push the awl gently into the gumball, and then insert in the gumball. That’s it! Check out my gumball necklace here: https://partypatisserie.com/2013/10/diy-youve-been-boo-ti-fied/
Enjoy!
