Individual Fruit Jars :: Tip of the week

September 12, 2014 by Party Patisserie Filed Under: Cook Leave a Comment

Hello everyone! Today I’m excited to share my Tip of  the Week, Individual Fruit Jars, that we put into action this past weekend.

My daughters and their friends invited us moms to the Carrie Underwood concert with them.Yep, that’s right.

Carrie is adorable and sounded wonderful! It was such a fun afternoon and evening with my girls! The concert was held at a great outdoor venue, Ravina, which you Chicago friends will be familiar with.

Everyone arrives early evening to secure a perfect spot on the grass to set up a picnic. No picnic tables here. Blankets on the grass with our Ravinia table in the center.  Crate and Barrel actually sells a table just for the concert goers which is small, portable and low to the ground. Genius!

We packed lots of goodies to eat but the one I wanted to share with you today was our individual fruit jars. I purchased a bunch of delicious fruit and filled a jar for each of us.

It was perfect to nibble on whenever you wanted it…

and close it up when you didn’t.

People sitting around us thought they were cute and loved the idea! (that was sweet of them) and we did to! Not only convenient but a fun way to  eat! Much better than putting it in a plastic container for everyone to pass around. Don’t ya think?

Making individual servings is always a favorite of mine. Makes it easy for people to move around to mingle and still eat.

(Remember to make up some extras for the guys at home. It’s a fun way to eat and watch the football games.) Hope you’ll try it soon!
