Hello everyone! I’ve been wanting to share with you my Valentine wreath. I know it’s kind of late coming but I really wanted you to see it!
I actually wasn’t going to make one this year simply because we’ve had lots of snow and it has been so cold that I wasn’t going to bother. But, it just didn’t seem right since I love Valentine’s Day with all its pink and red and cheeriness.
Since many of the days have been dark and dreary I thought we needed a little splash of color and I think this does the trick. (just noticed you can see the reflection of our snow-covered tree in the right window).
It’s so simple to make and takes about 45 minutes. All you need is a styrafoam heart shape, scissors and 3 rolls of tulle. I used red and 2 shades of pink tulle to give the color depth.
Just cut several pieces of tulle about 14 inches long. (it goes faster if it’s all precut). Tie each piece on with a double knot and slide them next to each other. Continue around the wreath until it is full. (didn’t take photos because I thought it was pretty self explanatory.
Added a bow with heart and ombre ribbon and that’s it!
Hope you’ll give it a try. Bonus: all Valentine products seem to be on sale and maybe you can pick up the ribbon and tulle for next year. Have a colorful day!
