Perfect Thanksgiving Dessert: Cold Stone Creamery

November 5, 2015 by Party Patisserie Filed Under: Celebrate Leave a Comment

Hello everyone! Now that Halloween is over, it’s time to move on to our next holiday, Thanksgiving! I will be hosting the dinner and desserts this holiday, and I’ve already decided what I’m going to serve up.

Cold Stone Pie 14

As we all know, there is so much cooking involved for Thanksgiving dinner right? And since the turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and cranberries are the stars of the show, it’s easy to spend all of our time cooking them—and wear ourselves out before we’ve even thought about dessert.

So, why not treat yourself a little this Thanksgiving and have someone else, like Cold Stone Creamery, worry about dessert?

Cold Stone Pie 13 Imagine all the hours you can save since you won’t have to slave over temperamental pie dough! You can get a festive manicure, sleep in or spend some extra time in your pjs and watch the parade with your kids. Ahh, can you feel the weight lifting from your shoulders?

So, let’s talk about that dessert—the easiest, most delicious dessert you’ll never have to make.

It’s Cold Stone’s Pumpkin Ice Cream Pie, and you’re going to love it. I do!

Mmmm, don’t you just want to devour this right now?

To make the pie, Cold Stone heaps fresh pumpkin ice cream into a graham cracker crust and tops it with cinnamon frosting and dark chocolate leaves.

I repeat: This pie contains chocolate, pumpkin ice cream and cinnamon frosting. Dessert doesn’t get more delicious and festive than that!

Pumpkin pie is a Thanksgiving staple, but the ice cream twist in this delectable dessert is a fun way to keep your menu interesting. And a little ice cream sounds refreshing after a heavy meal, doesn’t it?

Speaking of refreshing, a good Thanksgiving dessert menu needs a little variety. Here’s a look at what mine will include this year:

I’m always experimenting with new ways to display food, and topping some pretty pumpkins with plates of fruit are a perfect way to keep the pumpkin theme flowing through the table.

Cheese and crackers are another great choice for guests who want something savory.

Don’t forget something sweet to drink! Warm apple cider is not only festive, but a scrumptious treat to cuddle up with at the end of a wonderful day with family.

And of course, you can never have enough chocolate. These chocolate-covered pretzel sticks were a perfect accompaniment to the pie.
