Father’s Day Fun with Cold Stone Creamery

June 13, 2016 by Party Patisserie Filed Under: Celebrate 1 Comment

If your dad is anything like mine, he probably doesn’t want you to make a fuss over him on Father’s Day.

He probably wants to spend the day grilling up some burgers, relaxing in a shady spot in the backyard and sipping a cold drink, right?

Of course, we should let our dads spend their holiday the way they want to, but let’s be honest: We have to do a little something to make the day celebratory!

So, this year, we’re going to let Dad have his relaxing day, but we’re also going to spoil him. We’re going to spend the day playing games in the backyard and eating the ultimate summer dessert: Cold Stone Creamery’s Tall, Dark & Delicious ice cream cake.

This cake is a family favorite, so when Cold Stone asked us to share how we would use it to celebrate Father’s Day, our mouths immediately began to water.

The Tall, Dark & Delicious cake has thick layers of moist, rich Devil’s Food Cake, Sweet Cream Ice Cream with Brownies and Chocolate Ice Cream with OREO® Cookies. All of that delectable goodness is wrapped in fluffy white frosting and a cascading fudge ganache.

Just look at that gooey ganache! Can’t you imagine it melting slowly across your tongue?

No? Is it just because I’m devouring some while I write this? 😉

If you’d like to order one of these cakes for Father’s Day, you can do so at ColdStoneCakes.com. Once you order your cake, you just pick it up from your local Cold Stone store. It’s super easy.

We served the cake with some fun dishes and linens.

And because cake isn’t a main course (it should be, but I’ll spare you my soapbox speech), we let Dad grill up some burgers for us.

Since we were spending the day outside, we also put out some snacks that people could grab between chess matches and Bocce ball.

Did you notice the cute printables? You can download them for free from ColdStoneCreamery.com. You can get this banner there, too!
