The week between Christmas and New Year’s has always been one of my favorite times of the year. When my sister, brother, and I were little, my dad would take off work and the entire family would stay cozied up at home, only venturing out into the cold if it was absolutely necessary. We spent the week trying out our Christmas presents, playing games, and just enjoying each other’s company.
Now that we’re all grown up, we continue the tradition of keeping this week a cozy one. We’ve been hunkered down at home all week, and I’ve been treating myself to hot chocolate with homemade peppermint whipped cream.
The recipe is super easy, and it only calls for three ingredients. You probably already have them in the kitchen! (Yay, leftover Christmas baking ingredients!)
Give this easy recipe a try if you’re staying in tonight for New Year’s. And if you’re hosting, a dollop of this whipped cream makes hot chocolate fancy enough to serve to guests as dessert! (If you need a hot chocolate recipe, check out this one.)
Stay cozy. 🙂

And from our cozy home to yours, we at Party Patisserie wish you a very happy and blessed new year!
