Hi guys, and happy Fall!
Today I’m sharing my easy DIY Pumpkin/ Fall Centerpiece. I wanted this centerpiece to last from the end of summer through Thanksgiving, as well as blend in with my kitchen colors.

Luckily, I found everything I was looking for (the solid white pumpkin and stems) at Michael’s craft store. YAY!

Tip: I purchased a solid, artificial pumpkin about 12 inches in diameter and 10 inches tall. Solid pumpkins (rather than hollow ones) have more stability. You can use a hollow pumpkin, but you will need to add styrofoam and a weight of some sort so it doesn’t tip over when you add the stems.

I began by cutting off the top of the pumpkin (the area around the stem). To do this, I used a pumpkin cutter with a serrated edge. Because the pumpkin was made of styrofoam, this part was kind of messy.
First, I cut a circle around the stem. Next, I made little pie-shaped cuts to remove the pieces.

After I cut off the top of the pumpkin, I wiped off the loose styrofoam and began pushing the stems directly into the pumpkin. (Sorry, I didn’t take a photo of this part.) They went in so nicely and stayed put.
And there you have it. Hope you have fun making one, too.
